Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNO): A 21-year-old youth from Chadoora area of Budgam district of Central Kashmir is set to publish his maiden poetry work in coming days. Wahdat Iqbal, son of Mohammad Iqbal Paul, a resident of Buchroo village of Chadoora has also written around 50 songs so far and he is hopeful in coming days, his songs will be sung at mega stages. While talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Wahdat said that since his childhood he was interested in writing and so far he has written over a 100 poems which will be published very soon. He said that the main focus of his poems is nationality, culture and he has expressed his views, how old culture was better than new culture besides that how “we can make new culture better.” “I have also written so far over 50 songs on which I am working in a Studio at Delhi and among 50, three songs were released recently,” he told KNO. “The album in which my songs were included received very good response and we are working on many more albums as well.” Wahdat, a 2nd semester student, at Amar Singh College Srinagar said that he is learning acting from Mahesh Bhat's studio in Delhi as well and hopefully he will get a chance to be part of serials very soon. “Kashmir is full of talent but there are no proper infrastructure and platform where youth can showcase their talent,” he said, adding that “there are thousands of Kashmiris who were unable to showcase their talent because of financial issues.” He said that youth must show patience and think about if government besides parents are spending lakhs on our future, “are we giving anything to them.”—(KNO)
